On March 29 and 30, 2014, the Iowa Black Powder Federation ,a   501(c)(4) not for profit organization, will hold its first "Black Powder   Jubilee" in the Community Building, Hardin County Fairgrounds located at 301   11th Ave, El Dora, Iowa. Hours of the event will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.   Saturday, the 29th and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 30,   2014. 
              
            The Jubilee will feature approximately 100 tables for   demonstration, display and trade, traditional and modern muzzle loaders and pre   1898 firearms (no modern firearms allowed). Presentations will include muzzle   loader building, wood carving, metal engraving, books, early American crafts and   clothing and a variety of associated accouterments. While traditional dress is   not required for either presenters or attendees it is encouraged for both to   enhance the primitive flavor of the event. 
              
            In an earlier interview, Iowa black Powder Federation   President, Mr. Roger Eichelberger of Palmer, Iowa stated, "Even though the   priority of the Iowa Black Powder Federation is the safe and responsible use of   muzzle loading firearms the primary endeavor associated with this event is to   raise awareness of the Iowa Black Powder Federation in the state of Iowa and   recruit members with like interests. By presenting the trades of the late 18th   and early 19th centuries and the recreational variety this sports offers we are   confident exposure gained by this event will encourage membership and growth. We   hope you will come join us at this family event." 
              
            A Food concession will be provided by the Eldora Rotary Club.   Admission is only $3.00 (children under 12 are free but must be accompanied by   an adult). Free admission to any military veteran with proper identification.   For those interested in participating as a presenter or vendor, 8 ft. tables are   available for $20.00 each. Early reservations by March 1, 2014 reduces the cost   to $10.00 per table.
