My Tee-pee to me is special, but you know it is not mine

For there within lies my kin from another place and time.

He once was here and walked the earth for untold years for free

He lived his life, then was gone and now he's here with me.

He came from a noble race as does a part of me

They took his land, they took his life just because he was Cherokee.

Now you may ask how I know that he is here with me

I need no one to tell me so for I feel his spirit free.

And I will say that I am proud to be his next of kin

And I am proud to have him there the spirit that lies within.
