Piqua (pronounced Pickawey) was a reenactment of the battle of Piqua that took place in1780. When a regiment from Kentucky attack the encampment. A punishment to the indians for killing and scalping many of the white folks in the area. They then sold the scalps to the British in Canada. The Piqua village was west of Springfield, Ohio.
